Introduction

At Eggar’s we foster a love of reading and writing. Our Year 9 students have been studying the language and structural techniques fiction writers use to create the settings for their stories and the characters that inhabit them. This has involved students writing their own short stories using the genre of dystopian fiction – creating dark, nightmarish worlds into which they have awoken.
