Here at Eggar's we have a strong history of supporting Initial Teacher Training. The Higher Education Institutions that we most often work with are Chichester, Winchester and Southampton Universities. However we are open to accepting student teacher placements from all higher educational institutions.
We are pleased to support a range of student teacher course placements including;
• PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education);
• BEd PE (Bachelor of Education Physical Education);
• BEd ICT (Bachelor of Education Information Communication Technology) and, on some occasions, we will consider applicants for the GTP (Graduate Teacher Programme);
• Student Associate Scheme 15 day undergraduate placements on request via your University.
School Experience Programme via the Training and Development Agency
We are also pleased to support those who are interested in the profession and would like some experience of observing in classrooms. Applications are made via the Training and Development Agency website using the School Experience Programme links. Placements range from 1 to 10 days.
Observation and Work Experience Days and Placements
In addition we often host observation and work experience placements for adults and students from local sixth form colleges. We have many enquiries expressing an interest in the teaching profession. We are open to requests for classroom observation experiences especially from those preparing for PGCE applications or a career change. We make every effort to accommodate these requests and arrangements can be made directly at email@example.com
